Why Add a Lid to Your Firepit?
A lid helps protect your firepit from rain, snow, leaves, and other debris when it is not in use. Depending on the style you choose, it can also help manage the fire, create more flexibility around the pit, and give your outdoor setup a clean finished look.
Our Standard Hexagon Firepit can be paired with different lid configurations, so you can choose the setup that fits the way you use your firepit.
Full Lids
A full lid covers the entire opening of the firepit. It is a straightforward choice for protecting the inside of your pit between fires and helping keep out moisture and debris.
Choose a full lid if you want maximum coverage when the firepit is not in use, prefer a simple one-piece design, or want a clean, complete cover for storage and everyday protection.
Half Lids
A half lid covers part of the firepit while leaving the other side open. This gives you more flexibility than a full lid because you can cover part of the pit while keeping access to the fire or leaving room for heat and airflow.
Half lids are a useful option if you want partial coverage, more control over how the fire is exposed, or a lid that works alongside the way you arrange seating around the firepit.
Double Half Lids
Double half lids use two separate half-lid pieces. Together, they can cover the full firepit opening, but they can also be moved independently when you want partial coverage or easier access.
Choose double half lids if you want the most flexibility, like the option to open one side while keeping the other covered, or prefer handling smaller sections instead of one larger lid.
Customizable Cooktops Made with 1/4-Inch Plate
If you want to turn your firepit into a more versatile cooking and entertaining setup, consider adding one of our customizable cooktops. They are made from durable 1/4-inch plate and can be customized to suit your firepit and the way you plan to use it.
A cooktop is a practical option for preparing food outdoors or creating a generous surface for entertaining around the fire. Ask us about customization options when ordering so we can help create the right fit for your setup.
Planning to Cook on Your Firepit?
If you plan to cook food on or around your firepit, request your lid unpainted. An unpainted surface is the appropriate choice for a lid that will be used in connection with food preparation. Tell us how you plan to use your lid when ordering so we can prepare the right finish.
Always follow safe food-preparation practices, use suitable cookware or a cooking surface, and allow hot metal to cool completely before handling.
Choosing Your Lid Handles
You can choose between wood handles and metal handles, depending on your priorities and how you plan to use the lid.
Wood handles add a warm, natural look, but they are a consumable item. Because they are exposed to outdoor weather and heat, they will eventually need to be replaced.
Metal handles are the better choice if you want a handle designed for long-term outdoor use and do not want to plan for wood-handle replacement.
Which Lid Configuration Is Right for You?
